British Council Language Assistants Opportunity,<\/strong> CHINA<\/strong><\/a>: Applications now open!<\/strong><\/p>\n The British Council is currently recruiting 100 graduates to become English Language Assistants in China. We\u2019re looking for open minded, mature and adaptable individuals from across the UK.\u00a0 You need to have at least a 2nd<\/sup> class degree (from any subject) by summer 2013 to apply but do not need any previous teaching experience or a knowledge of Mandarin to participate in the programme.<\/p>\n You will live and teach in China for approximately ten months where you will receive a <\/strong>local salary<\/strong> of 3-4500 RMB per month, <\/strong>free accommodation<\/strong>, plus your <\/strong>return flights reimbursed<\/strong>. The programme begins with a two week TEFL induction course in Beijing in August 2013 and teaching follows the Chinese school year from Sept 2012 to June 2013.\u00a0 You will gain valuable skills and life experience \u2013 impressing future employers upon your return.
