The job title is “Full-Stack DevOps Engineer”. Quite a mouthful, but in reality it’s a full-stack development position with a hint of DevOps (at this level anyway). We encourage everyone to specialise in at least one area of “Ops” in addition to the main focus on “Dev” (we include testing in dev) – though for an IP this is only an option. This includes:<\/p>\n
Application monitoring (Dynatrace)
\nAutomation pipelines (we use Jenkins currently)
\nContainerization (we use Docker)
\nService management (using ServiceNow)
\nChange management
\nUser support
\nInfrastructure as Code<\/p>\n
The placement would last 11 months and start September 2024. The student would need to be on track for a 2.1 or higher degree classification.<\/p>\n
