We’re looking for a creative, analytical and organised Digital Marketing Executive to join our growing Search Team!

You’ll ideally have experience in digital marketing or a related field such as PR. Full training will be given, but proven experience in one or more of these areas would be an advantage:

  1. Search Engine Optimisation
  2. Google Ads / Bing Ads
  3. Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  4. Social media advertising
  5. PR and/or article outreach
  6. Content writing

You’ll have the ability to pick things up quickly and focus in on the details to get results. An analytical, logical approach is a must, but we like a bit of creativity too!

If you have experience of SEO, keyword research, writing web content and collating client reports and think you’ll enjoy working in a supportive environment, with some of the nicest people you could meet – get in touch!

NHS Oxford Health are looking for computer science students to join their Systems Integration & Development Team during their Industrial Year.

Basic knowledge of the following skills is highly desirable:

  1. Programming using Structured Query Language (SQL)
  2. JavaScript

12 month IY Placement – GE Aviation Software Engineering, Cheltenham

GE Aviation Software Engineering – 12 Month Industrial Year Placement, Cheltenham

There are IY placements available at GE Aviation. David Adejumo, one of our graduates, works there and he has been in touch to encourage applications from Aberystwyth. They have had Aber IY students before. There are some Aberystwyth Alumni working at GE, 2 of which work at the Cheltenham site.

 

David says that he thinks (but he isn’t 100% certain) that the IY positions would be in the R&D team. The role talks about hands-on software development and coding experience. A number of languages are listed – which you will have experience of. They are also interested in people with embedded software backgrounds, but that isn’t a requirement.

Junior Web Developer – Net World Sports

Dear students looking for an IY,

I have just received this email. We have had students at Net World Sports (in Wrexham) in previous years, and I’ve visited. It seemed to me to be a very good placement, in a friendly atmosphere. The student I saw there did mention that own transport was very useful (it’s on the outskirts of town) so perhaps bear that in mind.
