What is the role?

At Tibra our graduates get exposure to the development of real-world trading systems and the associated quantitative finance methods in one of the most challenging environments: proprietary trading.

You will be analysing large data sets, finding patterns, and exploring market dynamics. Your role will include researching, implementing and analysing signals and algorithmic strategies and will contribute to the implementation and evolution of the firm’s trading strategies.

Who is best suited to this role?

We want to hear from you if you have:

A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Development experience – preferably C++ and/or Python
Experience in data analysis (this is a bonus, but not essential)

With a team of 20+ experts, you will be heavily supported in your journey.
We are looking for intern software developers with an interest in
learning about Public & Private Cloud technologies to get involved in
the whole software development lifecycle – writing code, testing it,
deploying it, and operating/supporting it.

Education and Experience Required:

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, Computing, Engineering, Maths or related (with minimum 2
years completed)

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong software development skills

Experience with Linux or other Unix flavors Analytical troubleshooting
and problem-solving skills.

Good at collaborating

Knowledge of one or more programming languages Strong written and verbal
communication skills.

About the HPE Galway Office

The Galway site has various business groups located in Ballybrit Business
Park including a state-of-the-art Cyber Fusion Centre and a thriving
Innovation Centre. The site is located 15 minutes from Galway city,
a vibrant and cultural city on the western coast of Ireland.

Galway is the base for the HPE Security Centre of Excellence and the home
of the Security Fusion Centre, of which GSECC is a function. Security
staff currently based in Galway are spread among many distinct Security
functions such as Risk & Compliance, Network Security, Big Data
