Job Description

Are you interested in learning about Public and Private Cloud technologies?

Do you use, or contribute to OpenSource tools?

Are you interested in increasing your knowledge of Servers, Storage and Networking?

With a team of 20+ experts, you will be heavily supported in your journey.
We are looking for intern software developers with an interest in
learning about Public & Private Cloud technologies to get involved in
the whole software development lifecycle – writing code, testing it,
deploying it, and operating/supporting it.

Education and Experience Required:

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, Computing, Engineering, Maths or related (with minimum 2
years completed)

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong software development skills

Experience with Linux or other Unix flavors Analytical troubleshooting
and problem-solving skills.

Good at collaborating

Knowledge of one or more programming languages Strong written and verbal
communication skills.

About the HPE Galway Office

The Galway site has various business groups located in Ballybrit Business
Park including a state-of-the-art Cyber Fusion Centre and a thriving
Innovation Centre. The site is located 15 minutes from Galway city,
a vibrant and cultural city on the western coast of Ireland.

Galway is the base for the HPE Security Centre of Excellence and the home
of the Security Fusion Centre, of which GSECC is a function. Security
staff currently based in Galway are spread among many distinct Security
functions such as Risk & Compliance, Network Security, Big Data
Intelligence, Defense Center Analysts, Advanced Threat & Intelligence,
Training and Awareness, Project Managers and Endpoint Protection. Security
in Galway is comprised of graduate level employees to Master level
technologists, Managers and a Director.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is an employer with various

Women in Security. These groups also have regular external guest speakers

Fitness Suite

The Fitness Suite is located on Ground Floor and is available to members
of the HPE Galway Sports & Social Club to participate. The Fitness Suite
offers a group fitness schedule. Typical classes include yogalates,
15/15/15, pilates, and circuits boot camp.

Sports and Social Club

There is a vibrant Sports & Social club which manage a range of clubs
such as Soccer, Cycling, Tag Rugby, Golf, Angling, Photography, Running,
Walking, & Musical Society. This group also host seasonal events like
BBQs, Winter Parties etc

Manufacturing IT Placement Student – Cummins

Currently, I am on my Industrial Year placement at Cummins Inc. within the Cummins Business Services (CBS) branch.

I am employed as a Manufacturing IT Placement Student. This role is dynamic and mainly surrounds systems and maintenance rather than software development.
I support the manufacturing systems on site at Huddersfield and have exposure to sites across the EMEA region, even hosting regular meetings with sites in Russia.

Cummins are currently hiring for a variety of positions starting July 2022, suitable for undergraduate students looking for an Industrial Year placement. IT Technician: Antur Cymru

IT Technician: Telemat

Do you have experience and interest in IT?  We have an opportunity for you to join the Telemat team to provide ICT services to business clients across Wales.  The role requires a good working knowledge of servers, networking, Wi-Fi systems, desktops, laptops and peripherals etc.  The role will require on-site and remote ICT support for internal and external customers.

Applicants will need to demonstrate experience/qualifications in Microsoft server operating systems, networking and firewalls, cloud-based products, Wi-Fi/Broadband installation and an understanding of Office 365, together with a high standard of customer care and communication skills.

Salary: From £23,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on level of experience and

qualifications.

We are looking for more staff as we grow, and I wanted to ask if you have any excellent candidates finishing this year who live nearby to Salisbury or who would relocate here.

I am attaching the Job Specification that we have posted.  I understand that your graduates would not have the experience that we are looking for, but we are after three people so we would be able to take at least one student.
